Basic Class Outline:

  1. We begin with the foundation of breathing and move through subsequent body scans, touching upon the human energy centers with emphasis on the belly, heart, and head.

  2. We move through an exploration of feeling — your faculty of weighing and measuring your experience.

  3. We often explore the heart—whatever that means to you. This can be your own way of cultivating self-love or neutral self-understanding. Or it could just mean “centering”.

  4. Finally, we center in the head to explore visualization. Here we envision the energy we’ve cultivated through feeling and understanding, sometimes utilizing specific symbols like the mandala, the flower, or the star, containers that express the inner and outer duality of being.

We finish our meditation with a positive placebo we call the golden sun. This is a creative image we conjure up in the mind that represents our true essence. This comes from you and no one else. Since this comes from the space of the imagination, it can be as big as the universe (representing our ability to transcend an experience union). It might also be as small as a tiny spark (representing the infinite source of energy within). We pepper this image with any quality we feel we might need in present-time to achieve balance, be it peace, harmony, love, resilience, humor, or creativity.

We let this creative visualization travel back through our being in a reverse journey, this time from the crown to the root.
